1. 内容梳理
(1)英文简历一般包括:
Summaries of Basic Information(基本情况);
Educational Background(教育背景);
Research Experience(科研经历);
Academic Accomplishments(学术成果);
Training and Activities(培训和活动);
Work Experience(工作经历);
Self-assessments(自我评价)等。
(2)个人陈述是基于简历进行的内容展示,因此可在此基础上整理出一定字数的个人陈述内容。
要做到框架完整、内容详实,同时数据、实例亦是展示重点。
2. 注意事项
(1)切勿将中文简历直接对应翻译成英文简历,而是要以中文简历为基础,优化中文简历中的部分内容,让英文简历更自然、更流畅。
(2)复试英文简历和求职英文简历的内容侧重点不同。
前者往往强调学术科研经历或是实践工作经历。
学术科研经历可以写学科背景、大学成绩及获奖情况,也可以写科研经历、成果、已发表论文或毕业论文的情况;实践工作经历则可以分点来写,先写实习项目的名称、背景,再写你所负责的工作部分,最后强调一下你的业绩。
当然,在撰写这些内容时,建议举例子,用项目及数据事实来说话。
3. 格式规范
在排版和字体上,英文简历应特别注意。
比如,大标题字号应为22pt,小标题字号应为12pt,正文字号通常为9pt~10.5pt。
字体一般用Times New Roman,这也是国外网站上最常见的字体之一。
